Solvent is a financial awareness tool operated by TrustTech Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By using Solvent, you agree to these terms.
Your Account
You agree to:

- • Keep your password secure
- • Be at least 16 years old
- • Use Solvent for lawful purposes only
We agree to:
- • Keep your account secure
- • Respect your privacy as described in our Privacy Policy
- • Give you control over your data
What Solvent Is (and Isn't)
Solvent IS:
- • A spending and budget tracking tool
- • A debt payoff planning tool
- • A goal and savings tracker
- • A time tracking and invoicing tool
- • An AI assistant for financial insights
Solvent is NOT:
- • Financial advice
- • A bank or financial institution
- • Tax preparation software
- • A replacement for professional advice
Important: Solvent uses data you enter. We don't verify accuracy. Consult qualified professionals for financial, legal, or tax decisions.
Your Data
You own your data. We don't claim ownership over anything you create.
You grant us permission to:
- • Store your data to provide the service
- • Process it for calculations and insights
- • Back it up for reliability
This permission ends when you delete your account.
Payment
Free Tier
- • Limited features, no payment required
- • We may adjust limits with 30 days notice
Paid Plans
- • Billed monthly or annually
- • Processed securely through Stripe
- • Cancel anytime—access continues until billing period ends
- • No refunds for partial months (but talk to us—we're reasonable)
Price Changes
- • 30 days notice before increases
- • Current subscribers keep their price until renewal
- • You can cancel if you disagree
What's Not Allowed
Don't use Solvent to:
- • Break any laws
- • Track finances for illegal activities
- • Access other users' data
- • Reverse engineer our software
- • Overload our systems
- • Harass anyone
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Our Commitments
We will:
- • Make reasonable efforts to keep Solvent available
- • Fix bugs in a timely manner
- • Protect your data as described in our Privacy Policy
- • Respond to support within 2 business days
- • Notify you before planned maintenance
We can't guarantee:
- • 100% uptime
- • That Solvent meets all your needs
- • Perfect calculations every time
- • Results from AI suggestions
Liability
Plain language:
We're responsible for providing a good service. We're not responsible for every possible consequence of using it.
Legal version:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustTech Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before any claim.
This doesn't limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything we can't legally limit.
Intellectual Property
Ours: The Solvent name, logo, and software belong to TrustTech Limited.
Yours: Your data belongs to you. We claim no rights over it.
Changes to Terms
For significant changes:
- • We'll email you 14 days before they take effect
- • Continuing to use Solvent means you accept
- • If you disagree, you can delete your account and export your data
Ending Your Account
You can leave anytime:
- • Delete in Settings → Privacy → Delete My Account
- • Export your data first if you want it
We may close accounts if:
- • You seriously violate these terms
- • Payment fails repeatedly without response
- • Required by law
We'll give reasonable notice and let you export data unless prohibited.
Legal Stuff
Governing Law: New Zealand law applies.
Disputes: Will be resolved in New Zealand courts.
